Eric J. Peck, DVM, CVCP – Owner/Hospital Director
Dr. Peck is a 1989 graduate of Michigan State University, College of Veterinary Medicine.
He started his career in New Jersey and within three years made his way back to Traverse City and
has been practicing here since. In the winter of 2009 his dream of being a practice owner became
a reality. Within six months, over one of the worst winters in history,
Northern Michigan Veterinary Hospital was built.
Education has been one of Dr. Peck’s main focuses throughout his career.
He spent 14 years as the co-president of the Northern Michigan Veterinary Medical
Association and continues to educate himself and encourages his staff to do the same.
He attends programs through Michigan State University, the Michigan Veterinary Medical
Association as well as the American Veterinary Medical Association on a regular basis.
Dr. Peck became certified in Veterinary Orthopedic Manipulation, VOM, in 2011. He has
been utilizing VOM along with cold laser therapy since then and has had many success stories.
His theory is that it is always important to continue to add “tools to your tool-box.”
In Dr. Peck’s spare time he enjoys being with his family including his four children,
wife and dog, Triton. His favorite past time is bass fishing and enjoys participating in
local bass tournaments. He is always in search of the next trophy bass!
